چکیده
Subendocardial hydatid . cysts may rupture into the right or left chamber of the heart to produce pulmonary or systemic embolisation.' Few cases have been reported,2 and I believe that this case is the first to be reported in the United Kingdom in which a primary hydatid cyst in the interventricular septum caused multiple emboli in the pulmonary and systemic arterial circulation. The electrocardiographic changes may have been due to embolisation of the coronary vessels, but direct damage to the conducting pathway within the interventricular septum is more likely. In endemic areas hydatid disease should be considered as a possible cause of emboli, especially as subsequent signs of anaphylaxis may be misinterpreted and treated incorrectly. Echocardiography is the imaging technique of choice to detect intracardiac echinococcal cysts.3

Zinc Therapy Improves Deleterious Effects of Experimental Unilateral Cryptorchidism: Histopathological Evaluation of Testes
Objective- Perturbation of the normal process of testicular descent results in the condition of cryptorchidism. Spermatogenesis is generally impaired in cryptorchid testes because of high intratesticular temperature. It seems that the main mechanisms underlying the process of spermatozoa demise is apoptosis by overgeneration of free radicals. So, the aim of the present study was to investigate ...
متن کاملEffect of Vitamin C on Epididymal Sperm Quality in the Rat Experimentally Induced Unilateral Cryptorchidism
Objective- Release of free radicals and oxidants following increased temperature of testis in cryptorchidism, play an important role in the producing testicular damage. The present study investigated the role of vitamin C as an antioxidant in protecting the testis against damage in experimental unilateral cryptorchidism. Design- Experimental study Animals- Forty five male adult Wistar–Albino ...
متن کاملGrowth and descent of the testes in infants with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism receiving subcutaneous gonadotropin infusion
BACKGROUND One third of infants with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (CHH) are said to have micropenis and/or bilateral or unilateral cryptorchidism leading many of them to orchiopexy. Our previous study in two patients suggests that prolonged subcutaneous infusion of large doses of gonadotropins might normalize testicular function and growth. CASE PRESENTATION To confirm the effects...

Cryptorchidism: When the testes do not descend, the condition is called ‘cryptorchidism’. The condition occurs in about 3% of full-term infants and about 30% of premature infants. Untreated cryptorchidism on both sides results in sterility because the cells involved in the initial development of sperm are destroyed by the higher temperature of the pelvic cavity. The chance of testicular cancer ...
متن کاملPrevalence and Pathological Features of Cryptorchidism among Iranian Children in Yazd Province, Central Iran
Background Cryptorchidism is defined the failure of one testis or both testes to permanently descend. It is considered as the most common congenital abnormalities. The risk of testicular cancer in men with a history of cryptorchidism increased from three fold to four fold, compared to those without history of cryptorchidism. We aimed to investigate prevalence and pathological features of crypto...
